The Department of Defense has announced a virtual public information and listening session about the recent policy memorandum "Prioritization of Department of Defense Cleanup Actions to Implement the Federal Drinking Water Standards for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances Under the Defense Environmental Restoration Program." The date for the session is Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Visit the Community Involvement Tab for more information.
A public comment period is open through November 18, 2024 on the Action Memorandum for Emergency Removal Action for PFOS and PFOA Impacted Drinking Water. More information is available on the Community Involvement page of this website.

Overview
The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Environmental Restoration Program is an Air Force program that identifies, investigates and remediates past releases of hazardous substances, pollutants, and contaminants that originated from historical activities and operations. The goal is to reduce risks to human health and the environment in a cost-effective manner that fosters community support.
